Limited Edition YTR-8335RS20TH Combines Yamaha Handcrafted Engineering with Most Up-to-Date Computer Technology to Create the Ultimate Trumpet

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Yamaha Band and Orchestral Division will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its Xeno line of trumpets with the American debut of the Limited Edition YTR-8335RS20TH Professional Trumpet at Winter NAMM 2011.

Created by skilled instrument designers and with input from the world's most renowned instrumentalists, Xeno trumpets are renowned for their incomparable hand-craftsmanship augmented by cutting edge manufacturing technology. Focusing on a precise amount of resistance and comfortable playability, the Xeno Series is highly regarded for its extraordinary quality and unparalleled consistency.

The YTR-8335RS20TH features a reverse tuning slide, yellow brass bell and silver-plated finish for an optimal level of resistance with a free-blowing feel. Gold-plated finger buttons, top valve caps along with a gold-plated 16C4 Yamaha mouthpiece provide this trumpet with an elegant appearance. Additionally, the accompanying TRC-20TH double trumpet case offers a classic look with style and function.

Ideal for any performing situation, including the concert hall, recording studio, intimate jazz club or even the marching field, the 20th Anniversary Xeno Trumpet provides just the right amount of resistance, allowing smooth pitch transition without over blowing. Yamaha's corrosion-resistant monel pistons enhance the smooth valve action and long term precise fit. Hand-lapping pistons and slides ensure an absolutely perfect fit and seal between the pistons and casing or slide parts. Such an ideal fit helps to achieve smooth airflow and velvety action while improving the response and intonation of the instrument.

"The Limited Edition 20th Anniversary Xeno Trumpet is the result of over two decades of innovation in trumpet research and development," said Roger Eaton, Director of Marketing, Yamaha Band and Orchestral Division. "Its quality of craftsmanship is truly exceptional and speaks to the fine work of the master Yamaha trumpet artisans."

With a ship date of January 2011, the Limited Edition YTR-8335RS20TH Professional Trumpet comes with an MSRP of $4995.
