ANAHEIM – Yamaha today introduced a new series of Custom Xeno Bb Trumpets at the 2014 NAMM Show. The new lineup, including the YTR-8335 (ML Bore) and the YTR-8345 (L Bore), is informed by insights gained during the development of Artist Model Xeno trumpets, helping to create inspiring instruments with extraordinary tonal flexibility.
The reinvented Custom Xeno trumpets feature a revamped bell, which provides a powerful tonal core and more precise slotting in the upper register, and a newly designed leadpipe. A lighter valve casing and pistons deliver enhanced response and optimal tone control. Both models offer outstanding power and projection, when necessary, but are also characterized by refined resistance and response for softer notes.
"The new Custom Xeno trumpets deliver Fortissimo passages with authority and also provide a nuanced, colorful tone," said Brian Petterson, marketing manager, Wind Instruments, Yamaha Corporation of America. "These instruments represent a fantastic step forward for Yamaha trumpets and embody the concept of Innovation that Inspires."
