Yamaha Band & Orchestral Division to Reach Target Audiences Via Innovative New Social Media Platform Developed by R2Integrated

BUENA PARK, Calif. — Yamaha Corporation of America, Band & Orchestral Division, announces the launch of Harmonize (http://apps.facebook.com/harmonize), a new Facebook application providing instrumentalists with an array of connectivity options.

Developed in a collaborative effort with R2Integrated, a leading creative design, digital marketing and software engineering firm focused on providing new media communication and technology services and products, Harmonize will give subscribers the ability to connect with other instrumentalists worldwide in addition to presenting interactive advice from Yamaha artists, technique tips and performance opportunities, among many other options.

Its popular multimedia portal, The Hub (www.yamahahub.com), showcases free podcasts highlighting new products from departments within the company's Pro Audio & Combo Division, the Keyboard Division and the Band & Orchestral Division. Aggregating downloadable streaming video and audio, along with brochures and reference documents in PDF format, The Hub enables dealers and consumers to easily access product information in a variety of convenient formats and share content through social bookmarking sites, including Digg, Reddit, Furl and Technorati. The Hub also aggregates Yamaha's entire podcast-based Yamaha Certified Sales Professional (YCSP) dealer training program.
