Exclusive Yamaha system allows the amp and the speakers to work together to boost the power of a stereo speaker's output . Total impedance (resistance to current flow) has to be zero, so the amp's circuitry produces negative impedance, canceling out the speaker impedance. You can enjoy three hours of continuous music. With Relay Play, after both sides of the first tape play, play will automatically shift to the second tape.

With compatible Yamaha CD player, instead of having to push two buttons simultaneously to begin recording a CD, you simply press the Synchro button on the CD player's remote control, then the Play button on the same remote. The deck begins recording and after a brief pause, the CD player begins playing.

New Sorbothane cassette stabilizer press against the cassette, holding it more securely when the door is closed. These dampers reduce unwanted vibrations that affect the music signal and reduce modulation noise.

This feature allows the deck to recognize the type of tape being used and automatically adjusts recording bias and tape sensitivity to the optimum setting for each individual tape, ensuring maximum recording performance.
