The deck begins recording and after a brief pause, the CD player beings playing.

Once one side of the tape finishes it will automatically switch to play the other side.

Noise reduction system allows Dolby Dubbing at Normal speed. This allows you to dub a Dolby B NR tape to Dolby C NR, or vice versa.

Finds the beginning or end of a music selection.

This function mutes the sound and inserts a four-second blank space on the tape while you are recording. This is useful for cutting out unwanted material, and for inserting the blank spaces between cuts necessary for the Auto Search function to operate.

If you make a mistake while recording, the Rec Return function allows you to rewind the tape to the exact point where the recording began. You can then correct the problem or make any necessary adjustments, then restart the recording from the same point.

With +/- 12dB range per band for both left and right channels, you have complete control over the entire audio spectrum, allowing you to tailor your sound with precise boost and cut at specific frequencies to bring out more bass, enhance the vocals, roll off the highs, or customize your own response curves to get just the sound you want.

This independent output level control allows for proper matching between the EQ On and EQ Defeat modes, thus eliminating the need for main amplifier adjustements.

This allows you to monitor recordings with the EQ engaged, and shape the music you're recording to best match the acoustic characteristics of where you will be listening to your recording.

Listening comparisions between equalized and unequalized response can be made with the front panel EQ On/Defeat switch. This control is also useful if your equalizer is set for a response curve for particular types of music. When you change to other musical sources, the EQ can be defeated at the touch of a button.

To better match output levels when the equalizer is engaged or defeated, the EQ-70 has an LED-lit level control. This slider is precisely calibrated (with +/- 6dB click stops), to give you maximum control and efficiency in audio output.
