Learning to play the keyboard has never been this remarkably easy. The new EZ30 portable keyboard features a virtual, talking music tutor that is destined to launch many musical futures. Above each key, a light operates as a guide to tell you which note to play and when. Yamaha takes it a step further. The EZ includes an interactive technology that monitors your playing and grades your skills. The keyboard actually speaks to you in English, just as a tutor would. This tutor can also sing the notes as you play them, either using the letter name or singing in solfege (Do, Re, Mi). The voice of this virtual tutor is GRAMMY® Award-winning singer/songwriter Melissa Manchester (an active supporter of students music education). The Yamaha EZ30 is touch-sensitive, making it more appropriate to use as a piano. In addition, 608 voices, and General MIDI compatibility, make the EZ30 Internet friendly. Another key feature exclusive to the EZ30 is the ability to download songs into flash memory. The sonic quality is also enhanced with 32 notes of polyphony, two-way speakers, bass ports and more. The EZ30 also features a backlit LCD display.
