The relationship between Billy Sheehan and Yamaha began in 1986 with the development of the Attitude Limited Bass. These unique basses are exactly like the bass that Billy takes on stage with him night, after night, after night. The Attitude bass line springs from an inspired collaboration between the manic bass virtuosity of Billy Sheehan and the feverish imaginations of our North Hollywood YGD team.

The Attitude LTDII is packed with innovative design details and the sort of hotrodded extras you seldom see on non-custom instruments. The DiMarzio® P-style pickup conjures the warmth and punch of a vintage bass, but the neck position DiMarzio Woofer spews volcanic lows unheard of in the old days. Separate outputs for each pickup let you choose between combining the two signals or amplifying them separately.

The all-maple neck is scalloped at the upper frets to the D and G strings for the sort of top-register wiggles and bends they used to have to hire a guitarist to produce. Need more? A Hipshot® "D" Tuner™ lever lowers the bottom string from E to D for extreme low-end mayhem.
