The DW15 is a masterpiece of affordable dreadnought quality and performance. The solid Engelmann spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides produce a warm, robust, richly maturing sound, with a fast, super-resonant response courtesy of upgrades such as a new bracing pattern, thinner back and sides and a lightly applied finish using a UV-cured base coat to allow thinner top coats. The bridge and fingerboard are top-quality ebony, the latter carrying delicate snowflake markers which tastefully compliment other decorations such as tortoise-celluloid body binding, a wood-mosaic back centre-lining and gold-plated tuners. A new, shallower neck profile for enhanced playing comfort completes this handsome, rewarding instrument.
