For Those Who Love to Play
You can play and enjoy the DGA1E just as you would any classic grand. It is, after all, a Yamaha grand piano, with all the characteristics that have earned these instruments international acclaim for nearly 100 years.
For Those Who Love to Listen
Advanced Disklavier™ playback functions offer 'live' piano and piano/ensemble concerts at the touch of a button, with hundreds of world-class performances on Yamaha PianoSoft™ and PianoSoft Plus™ disks.
Playback Functions
In addition to the ultimate in musical fidelity, the DGA1E offers a host of features to enhance your listening enjoyment. Search and select functions make it easy to find the music you want to hear. You can control the volume to suit the occasion, adjust the tempo without affecting the pitch or change the key to play or sing along. Easily repeat any song or passage, or program the song order as you like.
Left/Right Recorded Disks
With L/R recorded disks, you can listen to the left- or right-hand part alone, or even play one hand while the piano plays the other. Additional features, particularly useful in commercial applications, let you start automatically, specify performance intervals, or schedule musical interludes by connecting a timer. And the remote control unit lets you command all main functions from almost anywhere in the room.
Piano/Digital Ensemble
Not limited to the sound of the piano alone, the DGA1E also offers fully orchestrated concerts through the magic of Yamaha XG MIDI, the next generation standard in digital tone generation. Built into the compact new computer control unit, the internal tone module can add nearly 700 stunningly realistic instrumental and percussion voices to the live piano performance. (Amplified speakers required for ensemble performance).
PianoSoft™ Concerts for Every Occasion
Choose from a huge library of Yamaha PianoSoft disks and PianoSoft Plus ensemble titles. Just slip in a PianoSoft Plus ensemble disk, press the Play button and sit back, as the sound of piano and orchestra, chamber group, pop or jazz ensembvle fills the room. There's no need for an external tone generator, and control is integrated with the main Disklavier controls.
Yamaha Servicebond™ Assurance Program
The Yamaha Servicebond Assurance Program is provided to the customer, without additional charge, 3-8 months after delivery of their piano. This service is a thorough check up and adjustment procedure to "rejuvenate" a piano after play-in and acclimation to its new environment. After 3-8 months or so of settling and becoming acclimatized, the piano will receive the benefit of a service visit to return it to the conditions specified by the manufacturer.
