The "Touch" of an Acoustic Piano with the Sound of a Concert Grand!
Combining the traditional beauty and performance of an acoustic piano with the latest advances in electronic technology, Yamaha GranTouchâ„¢ digital pianos offer unmatched opportunity for musical enjoyment.
Real Piano Action and Keyboard
Generations of pianists have delighted in the sensitive response of Yamaha acoustic pianos. The GT10 incorporates the Yamaha piano keyboard and action mechanism into a state-of-the-art electronic instrument, for a natural feel and expressive control that are simply unprecedented in a digital piano.
Rich, Resonant Sound
The GT10 realistically recreates the sound of a fine acoustic piano. Digitally sampled from the Yamaha CFIII-S concert grand, its tones respond to the player's touch through the full range of dynamics and modulation. And its four-speaker internal audio system delivers this sound clearly with all of its richness and depth.
Sophisticated Optical Sensors
Special Yamaha precision sensors create the magical link between acoustic piano keyboard and digital tone generator. Using beams of light, these register every movement of the keys without interfering in the least with the renowned 'touch' of the keyboard. Additional sensors capture pedal motion as well, faithfully reproducing the player's performance.
Elegant, Slim-Line Traditional Design
The GT10 not only plays and sounds like a fine acoustic piano, it even looks like one. Its lines and craftsmanship reflect the beauty of a classic upright, making the GT10 an elegant addition to any room. Slightly smaller and much lighter than a conventional piano, however, it is considerably easier to move.
Uniquely Digital Advantages
Though designed to play like an acoustic, the GT10 also offers all the benefits of a digital piano. You can control the volume, or play through headphones without distrubing others. It never needs tuning, but offers easy pitch adjustment. On-demand reverb effects can simulate room and hall acoustics. And MIDI and AUX connections offer direct access to the world of electronic music.
