PAD Switch
The PAD attenuates the channel's input signal by 20 dB prior to the head amplifier and input gain control. It allows the widest possible range of input sources to be handled with ease.

PAD Switch
The PAD attenuates the channel's input signal by 20 dB prior to the head amplifier and input gain control. It allows the widest possible range of input sources to be handled with ease.
3-Band Equalizer
The 3-band equalizers provided on each input channel offer versatile, broad-ranging response control over independent channel signals.
Effects Control
Each EM2820 input channel features an Effects controls that sets the level of the signal sent from that channel to an external signal processor or monitor system via the rear-panel EFF Send jack.
Monitor Control
The Monitor control sets the level of the signal sent from the corresponding channel to the EM2820 monitor buss. The monitor buss feeds the console's master Monitor control and the rear-panel MON Out jack.
PAN Control
Pans the channel signal across the L and R master busses, thus determining the position of the sound from that channel in the output stereo sound field.
Channel Fader
These high-quality noise-free faders are the main level controls for each input channel. The settings of the input channel faders determines the "mix" or balance of sound levels between the instruments or other sources connected to the inputs.
Graphic Equalizers
Independent 7 band graphic equalizers for the L and R Master program signals allow fine response shaping of the main output from the mixer.
Limiter Indicators
The EM2820 features a limiter circuit that automatically limits the level of the speaker output signals to prevent distortion.
Protection System
This prevents damage to the EM2820 itself and connected equipment due to the power-on current surge, speaker cable shorts, or thermal overload. The Protection indicator lights when the protection circuit is activated.
Power AMP Mode Switch
This switch allows the EM2820 to be operated in the stereo or monaural mode. When set to the Stereo position, the power amplifier delivers a stereo signal via the SP Out L and R jacks. When set to the L +R/MON position, the stereo program is mixed to a monaural signal which is delivered via the SP Out L ( L + R) jack (200 watts into a 4-ohm load).
