480 Normal Voices and 11 Drum Kits (XG format)

Preset: 128; Programmable; 128; Up to 4 voices, or layers, assigned to each Performance. You can edit any Performance in a variety of ways, and store it in one of the 128 User Performance memories. There's no need to search for hidden functions in pages and pages of submenus. A list of Edit menus with various parameters are printed in a matrix right on the CS1x's front panel to give you instant access to any setting, as well as control over minute aspects of the sound.

Two one-touch "Scene" memory buttons (for each Performance) to instantly recall specified Sound Control knob positions. Press one of the Scene buttons to instantly recall specific position settigns of six Sound Control knobs. Or roll the assignable Modulation Wheel back and forth to continuously change the sound between one Scene and another as you play. There are three "Scene" variations, each in Performance - the original settings for the basic Performance plus two Scene settings.

Arpeggiator automatically creates arpeggiated chords based on the notes you play on the keyboard, giving you power to create unique sonic atmospheres and moods. Choose from a list of 30 Arpeggiator types (including types which control filter cutoff and panning) and timing subdivisions. You can control the Arpeggiator tempo by an external MIDI clock, a sequencer, rhythm programmer or computer.

16-part multitimbral XG format compatible tone generator, you can use the CS1x with a sequencer (or computer with sequencing software) to record and play back the various instrument parts across the 16 MIDI channels.

The CS1x gives you unprecedented realtime control features which let you "design the sound" as you play. Grab the Filter Cutoff knob and change the cutoff frequency, or turn the Resonance knob one way and another - to completely transform the characteristics of the sound. There are two assignable knobs which let you determine which parameters you want to control in realtime.

You can select and control the amount of three digital effects applied to the sound - from 11 Reverb types, 11 Chorus types and 43 Variation types of effects
