General MIDI Compatible Tone Generator
The QY22 features complete General MIDI which provides a greater degree of compatibility for any GM-based music data. The QY22 allows your musical creations to be made and played back with maximum capability no matter what other GM equipment is used in various stage, studio and home environments. All GM compatible software and musical data will also be processed naturally and properly.
Musical Creation and Arrangement Tool
The QY22 allows you to produce detailed and precise musical sequences anywhere and at anytime. Professional musicians can create musical sketches that can be later polished using full music production equipment. The QY22 can be used to create ad-lib melodies and store up to 20 original songs.
Used with the MDF2
A MIDI data recorder, such as the Yamaha MDF2, can be used with the QY22 for even more musical storage. Four sequencer tracks are provided for real-time or step recording and four accompaniment tracks are available for rich, complete musical compositions.
Super Practice Partner
The QY22 helps polish guitar, bass and keyboard playing, vocals, horns and much more very easily. Metronome practice is now obsolete when you can choose from 25 chord types and various sections to create realistic and fully developed home jam sessions. The key signature and tempo setting is assignable.
Instant ABC Performance
The QY22 enables you to create instant and full accompaniment while being controlled by any external MIDI keyboard. You can also create chord variations as well as timing and key changes, easily and accurately. One-performer gigs now include a whole band providing tremendous performance power.
AWM Tone Generator
The QY22 is equipped with top quality AWM sound for all types of music. You can select and play the QY22 voices from any MIDI keyboard, controller or computer.
Complete Drum Machine
