Solid and strong, FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics) permits the utilization of thinner 3mm thick shells. Extremely durable, these shells will stand up to the hardest performance while delivering a dynamic sound that is fat with excellent response. FRP is the same material used in making YAMAHA marimbas, xylophones, and timpanis. Their semitransparent quality makes the shell appear to glow when illuminated.
