YSL-603

Designed to bring out the orchestral colors of music written by distinguished composers such as Beethoven, Strauss, and Brahms, this new German tenor trombone provides another level of timbral possiblity for the orchestra trombone section.

Yamaha Professional model tenor trombones feature agile and quick response, highly accurate intonation, and best of all a rich full sound. They play evenly and comfortably in all registers-at any dynamics-and the tone is warm and dark but with excellent projection. The YSL-603 is a traditional German style trombone, but has a slide/bell configuration the same as on conventional trombones allowing players to switch back and forth between types. It features a removable F attachment and has been developed in close cooperation with one of Germany's leading trombonists.

Slide/bell positions

Unlike other German style trombones, the slide/bell relationship is the same as a normal trombone so that players can switch back and forth with ease.

Pressure formed tubing

Perfectly rounded tubing results in less turbulence and a smoother air flow, thus allowing for an excellent scale and reduced resistance.

Laser-fused pluzuma welded bell

A high-energy laser fuses the brass together for a virtually seamless bell which allows continuous even vibrations.

Slide lock

The unique slide lock design on all Yamaha trombones keeps the slide locked in place and keeps it from accidentally falling.
