Whether it's unnatural resonance or excessive reverberation, sound quality is often impaired by room acoustics. To counteract this, Yamaha has developed three-cm-thick Acoustic Conditioning Panel that work to condition in-room resonance. Now you can turn even a small space into a dedicated music room with high-quality, ear-pleasing sound.

1) Yamaha's Acoustic Conditioning Panels provide an optimal balance of acoustic absorption and acoustic scattering. The result is sound that resonates clearly and pleasantly. Yamaha’s proprietary panel construction achieves an even level of acoustic absorption over a wide frequency range of 80 to 4,000 Hz. Because the panels also work to scatter sound waves, they let you create a space with clear, pleasant sound and minimal acoustic interference - something you can’t get with conventional sound-absorption materials. 2) Just 3 cm Thick - Easy to Install in Small Spaces Previously, 100-cm-thick panels were needed to control bass sounds*. But now Yamaha has achieved comparable results with panels that are just three centimeters thick. Each Acoustic Conditioning Panel comprises acoustic resonance pipes and a hard reflective surface. One side of each pipe has an opening. The section of pipe above that opening differs in height from the section of pipe below it. This creates a pipe that can resonate at two different frequencies. The pipes are arranged side by side to create a panel with multiple openings and a hard reflective surface. Incoming sound is both emitted from the openings and reflected off the hard surface, leading to an ideal scattering of sound. The openings also serve to absorb some of the acoustic energy.
