Music comes from a lot of places – the MCR-B142 puts it all at your fingertips. Dock your iPod® or iPhone®, or connect to the front-panel USB port from an iPad® or USB device. It also has a slot-in type CD player and AM/FM radio, and offers an Auxiliary mini input, allowing you to connect a wide range of other sources.

Employing powerful 4-1/2” drivers in large-volume speaker cabinets, the MCR-B142 delivers exceptional acoustic performance from a compact system, with deep, robust bass and clear mids and highs. Digital docking ensures high-quality audio connectivity with iPod and iPhone devices, and Yamaha’s Compressed Music Enhancer restores the performance of compressed audio files (e.g. MP3 files) to deliver sound that is more dynamic and has a greater feeling of expansiveness.
DTA Controller App for Extra Convenience
Yamaha’s IntelliAlarm™ wakes you up gently by increasing music from your iPod or iPhone gradually over several minutes until the beep goes off. By installing the Yamaha DTA Controller App for your iPhone/iPod/iPad and Android™ devices you can adjust the settings of the alarm simply and easily. You can also set the alarm time differently for each day of the week.
The app will be periodically updated for additional functionality.

IntelliAlarm
Ease into your day with a new approach to waking up. Yamaha's IntelliAlarm wakes you gently with the audio source of your choosing, first filtering out uncomfortable high frequencies, then gradually restoring the full audio spectrum before beeping to ensure you are awake.
iPod Digital Connection
iPod digital connection means that the digital signal from the iPod is transmitted directly to the system, minimising noise interference and allowing use of the DAC not in the iPod, but in the system. This results in more precise sound reproduction.
