I was looking to upgrade my existing iPod portable speaker system. So I read the product details on the Yamaha PDX 11 and the positive customer reviews and decided that it was for me. Good move. It's hard to imagine a better portable sounding speaker system for your iPod or iPhone when you are on the go. Full bass, strong mid-range and clean highs. And it so esasy to operate it. What an absolute bargain for around 100 bucks. I can't wait to take it to the beach this summer!

with a $400 phone)in order to attach to top of speaker.Personally I don't know of many people who do not protect their phone.I purchased an aux phone jack so that I can use your product without compromising my phone. Of course my phone does not charge through the unit in this cofiguration. I paid to ship the unit here to Hawaii, and will now have to pay to ship it back. Maybe you could extend the jack on top 1/8th of an inch and solve this frustrating design flaw.

Just what I was looking for. A quality speaker I can plug-in and use at home and portable enough to take on fly fishing trips. Music quality is excellent and volume is sufficient while listening with 8 guys around the camp fire.
So easy to use with the remote as it replicates the I-Pod wheel that I don't have to think about when I use it. Sure beats the others I have tried in the past as this speaker can handle the range of highs and lows at increased volume. Works great and would highly recommend.

The remote could easily get lost. Need a storage compartment for the remote. There's a slot on the back that the remote fits in but it needs a door/lid so it stays put when carrying it.
