I was looking to upgrade my existing iPod portable speaker system. So I read the product details on the Yamaha PDX 11 and the positive customer reviews and decided that it was for me. Good move. It's hard to imagine a better portable sounding speaker system for your iPod or iPhone when you are on the go. Full bass, strong mid-range and clean highs. And it so esasy to operate it. What an absolute bargain for around 100 bucks. I can't wait to take it to the beach this summer!

with a $400 phone)in order to attach to top of speaker.Personally I don't know of many people who do not protect their phone.I purchased an aux phone jack so that I can use your product without compromising my phone. Of course my phone does not charge through the unit in this cofiguration. I paid to ship the unit here to Hawaii, and will now have to pay to ship it back. Maybe you could extend the jack on top 1/8th of an inch and solve this frustrating design flaw.

I was amazed at how well this played music! Great bass, great high tones, and light and easy to transport and set up. I mostly use mine when I go to the beach, it has received numerous compliments (I chose the green color). I would highly recommend this product. Once you hear the playback quality, you'll understand why.

I primarily use my PDX-11DB at the office, and I couldn't be more pleased with the sound quality of this unique IPOD dock. It certainly isn't the most powerful dock available, but it puts out plenty of volume and it remains crystal clear at maximum volume. Getting the maximum music reproduction from digital music files is difficult at best, but my music is very enjoyable on this quality little powerhouse. I have already purchased a second one as a gift for a friend, and no, I am not a Yamaha employee or distributor.

This is such a great portable player! I can't believe the sound even when your outside. I play beach volleyball and put it next to the court when I'm training :) Nothing gets you through a tough practice like listening to music, and being able to hear it the whole time! It also has amazing battery life while not completely draining your ipod/iphone. Definitely a great Yamaha product and great price for the quality you get.

Merchant response: The Yamaha PDX-11 is designed for an IPhone or IPod and the connector was built to Apple’s specifications. Also, protective cases for these devices come in various sizes and thickness. As a result some cases may work and others may not depending upon the overall thickness of the case around the IPhone or IPod.
