If You Love Music, Listen to the PROs

As the world’s largest musical instrument manufacturer and the leading choice of professionals for studio and concert gear, Yamaha knows better than anyone how to make your music sound its absolute best. Now you can enjoy the Studio Sound experience anywhere you go. PRO Series headphones go beyond just “powerful bass” to authentically reproduce any style of music. From Classic Rock to Hip-Hop, from Latin Jazz to Delta Blues, the PRO Series brings all your music to life. Your collection is waiting…
Powerful, Authentic Sound

Tight, precise, and well-balanced – the PRO 400 headphones create a rich, deep soundscape isolated from the outside world and tuned to perfection the way only Yamaha can. They incorporate a newly-developed Yamaha-proprietary driver design, sporting robust 50 mm drivers with neodymium magnets that provide maximum efficiency when used with mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets and other portable music players. The over-ear cup shape offers excellent noise isolation, while premium ear cushion materials insure crisp, clear sound reproduction.
Ultra-comfortable and Built to Last
Built to handle the rigors of everyday use without wearing you down, the PRO 400 features an adjustable, reinforced headband with ample padding textured for a pleasant feel. The band is shaped to apply just the right amount of pressure – snug enough to provide noise isolation, yet light enough for long listening sessions. Its ear cushions are extraordinarily soft and smooth, with a feel so natural you’ll never want to take it off.

Fuel-injected Design
Drawing inspiration from the world’s finest musical instruments and motorcycles, the PRO Series headphones get your heart racing before you even plug them in. Gorgeous geometry and ultra-clean design curves are matched with premium color and finish materials, and emblazoned boldly with Yamaha’s iconic tuning-fork marque, conjuring the power and energy of our high-performance supersport bikes. The PRO 400 is available in Piano Black and Ivory White.

Versatile, High-performance Connectivity

The PRO 400 comes with two detachable, tangle-resistant flat cables: one in a 4 ft length with an in-line remote/mic, ideal for most mobile applications, and one in a 10 ft length for use in the home. Both cables are made from a material that is durable and designed to reduce “touch noise” transfer effects. The flat construction keeps the internal cores separated to minimize interference and terminates to a low-profile right-angle connector. A gold-plated ¼” adapter is included in the box for connecting to professional-grade audio equipment.
Control at Your Fingertips

The 4 ft cable includes an in-line remote/microphone optimized for use with Apple iPod, iPhone and iPad devices. The “+” and “-” buttons control volume for both music and phone calls, while the center button allows you to play/pause music, skip to the next song, skip to the previous song, or answer/end phone calls. The controller buttons provide a tactile click-response, enabling intuitive operation without need for visual reference. For non-Apple devices, control behavior varies due to differences in applications and pin configurations.
Bring it With You…Everywhere

Engineered to move you and keep you moving, the PRO 400 folds into a compact size for traveling. It also comes with a semi-rigid protective carrying case.

PRO 400 Overview
Press
"We highly recommend you take a ride with the Yamaha Pro 400."
"Yamaha's foray into the world of hi-fi headsets was worth waiting for. The look of the headset provides a perfect balance of panache and quality, and the passive noise isolation does a great job of standing up to the loud clatter of your daily routine." — Ryan Waniata, Digital Trends, January 2013. "Although the design of the Pro 400 headphones is what strikes you initially, the sound is what will keep you captivated."
"Overall sound quality on the 400s is superlative. Bass heavy tracks sound excellent and don't lose their vocals, so if your musical tastes lean to hip-hop, dance, or rap, these headphones will uncover new dimensions of your music (there's more than just bass in there). Rock fans will appreciate the clean delivery of vocals and backing instrumentation, as bass guitar lines and cymbal hits are all equally well presented with excellent clarity." — Aaron Kraus, AppleTell.com, March 2013. "The sound: Really, really fantastic and it was a pleasure to listen to these."
"I had them on my head far longer than I intended to and, that, I see as a good sign... Highly recommended." — Dave Hamilton & John F. Braun, The Mac Observer, February 2013. Read more...

Comments about Yamaha pro_400_bk:
alright lets start of by saying these are actually worth th price sounds inviting and the sound is way more projecting then others i use them to go outside,go walking, and to chilax and it exceeded my expectations. Now wats great about it they have amazing sound, sound isolation is suprisingly really good and better than alot of noise cancling heqdphones, and they have way better sound then the compentition, they also fold and they have very stylish case thats hard shelled and wire is detachable and deepite being big the headphones still sound good on portable devices so thats a plus and the style is complimented with the white auto like paint so no these do not feel cheap they feel like an investment and to add even the box is beutifal when opened up your greeted with a nice white box and then the goodies like stickers cleaning cloth then the headphones within the case but with evrything good there is something you have to get used to the pressure when there new but in time the ear pads get softer and easier to put on but u wnt comfortability out the box go with the yamaha pro 500 there hundred but you can tell why when u put them on not by looks bcuz 500 and 400 look alike i asked to try the 400 and the lady said they diddnt have any but i saw the white 400 hundreds in the casing and she mistaked it for the 500 so i went along with but besides the easly removable problem these are a great by for people who want more than what the competition doing
