Made for iPod

The Made for iPod logo indicates that the product is equipped with the ability to connect your iPod to this product. With this feature you can listen to your music and operate the iPod via the product’s remote control while at the same time charging the battery on your iPod. Depending on your product’s specifications, some will allow you to use the On-Screen Display feature on your video monitor to navigate your music. Some products can even allow you to view your photos and movies from your iPod on your video monitor (view the Specifications of each product for iPod playback compatibility)...
MP3

Short for MPEG-1 layer 3 audio, MP3 is a compression process used to shrink audio files by filtering out all noise that is not detectable to the human ear. MP3 is considered near CD-quality, but the file itself occupies approximately one tenth to one twelfth the space of the original CD format, making it the perfect medium for today’s smaller, memory based portable media players.
USB

This unit is equipped with a USB port that allows you to enjoy WAV (PCM format only), MP3 and WMA audio files from a USB memory device (USB flash drive).

Decent USB amp

About Me Practical, Tech Savvy
Pros

- Energy Efficient
Cons
Best Uses
Comments about Yamaha crx-330_black__u:
My usage is unusual, and this fit the need. I needed to augment the sound of a waterfall to mask traffic noise, and needed a small amp to play a USB file whenever the waterfall was powered (on timer). The USB file is an MP3 of, well, a small waterfall of course (thanks to an Amazon download). This amp was small enough to fit into a dry box from Cabelas, efficient enough not to overheat in the box, and will play the MP3 whenever power is applied.

Comments about Yamaha crx-330_black__u:
the lack of exterior input and low wattage was more important to me than I first realized; so sent it back to and bought a component Yamaha receiver instead as I was seduced by the sound and beauty of this unit. My old Polk speakers sound new again!
I would recommend the new 332 Unit to a friend as it has an external input and new remote
