The cool, colorful appearance is just the start of many things to like about the MCR-140. Compact and convenient, it lets you enjoy a variety of music sources, including iPod. And because it features Yamaha digital amp and YST technologies, the sound is much better than you would normally expect from a micro system.
Enjoy All Your Favorite Music
The MCR-140 puts your favorite music sources within easy reach. It's got a CD player, an FM radio, USB and mini jack inputs for portable audio devices, and a dock on top for an iPod, which you can control with the handy card-sized remote control. The iPod and USB device charge both while in use and in standby mode. What's more, it has both a clock timer and a sleep timer.

The Made for iPod logo indicates that the product is equipped with the ability to connect your iPod to this product. Depending on your product’s specifications, some will allow you to use the On-Screen Display feature on your video monitor to navigate your music. USB

Advanced Yamaha Active Servo Technology (Advanced YST) is a unique system in which the speaker and amplifier work together to cancel out impedance so the speaker unit has a perfectly linear motion. Advanced YST helps to ensure the highest levels of sound pressure and overall performance.

Very compact but with quality sound; this is just right for my kitchen where I did not wish to devote too much space to a sound system. This unit fit the need perfectly. I am delighted that I have FM radio, CD capability and a dock for my iPhone music. Great job Yamaha

This is a excellent system. I've played classical.jazz. male & female vocalists,single acoustic instrument, and full orchestra. All sound great. Again, excellent system. Very pleased!

We moved into a smaller house so my floor-standing speaker system was taking up too much of the living room. We had built-in bookshelves so this seemed perfect. All of our music is either on CD or iPod so we like the wireless iPod capability. iPod wireless seems to work well even off to the side. While this will never have the full sound of my old system, the small footprint fits in perfectly with our new scaled-down living space. We do miss the multi-CD changer of our old system and the wider sound presence, but the sound and build quality of the Yamaha are quite amazing and make it easily worth the price.
