NS-AW1

Yamaha's NS-AW1 is Yamaha's first speaker designed for use outdoors. The two-way acoustic suspension design system incorporates a 5" midrange/woofer and 1/2" tweeter in a weather resistant enclosure.

The NS-AW1's sealed enclosure is made of UV-stable polypropylene and has an aluminum grille.

A 5" high compliance glass filled cloth woofer/midrange delivers solid reproduction of the lower and middle frequencies.

The upper end of the frequency range is handled by Yamaha's 1/2" pure titanium dome tweeter.

The speaker is magnetically shielded, so it can be placed on a TV or video monitor without degrading the picture via stray magnetic fields.

To assure flexibility, durability, and the best electrical connection possible, Yamaha has equipped the NS-AW1 with gold-plated five-way binding posts. The five-way binding posts can accept banana plugs and a variety of other connectors, as well as speaker wire. The gold plating assures that once the connection is physically made, the electrical connection is not degraded by weather or other connections.

For easy mounting both inside and outdoors, the NS-AW1 comes with mounting brackets.

The NS-AW1 features a black micro-pebble finish. The identical speaker in white is designated NS-A1W.
