Pad Switch
This switch attenuates the channel's input signal by 20 dB prior to the head amplifier and input gain control. It allows the widest possible range of input sources to be handled with ease.

Pad Switch
This switch attenuates the channel's input signal by 20 dB prior to the head amplifier and input gain control. It allows the widest possible range of input sources to be handled with ease.
3-band Equalizer
The three band equalizers provided on each input channel offer versatile, broad-ranging response control over independent channel signals.
Channel Fader
High quality noise-free faders are the main level controls for each input channel.
L and R Master Faders
The L and R Master faders are the main "volume controls" for the overall program mix, controlling the levels of the signal sent to the rear-panel Speaker Out L (1 and 2) and Speaker Out R (1 and 2) jacks, the GEQ Out (L and R) jacks, the Line Out (L and R) jacks, and the front- panel Phones jack.
DSP Controls and Display
The DSP Control section includes increment and decrement keys, a Time key, a Recall key, an On switch, a single-digit seven-segment LED display, and a DSP Peak LED. These controls and displays are used to control the EMX mixer's sophisticated internal digital signal processor which provides a range of 15 top quality digital effects.
Graphic Equalizers and EQ switches
Independent 9-band graphic equalizers for the L and R Master program signals allow fine response shaping of the main output from the mixer.
L and R Master VU Meters
These precision VU meters display the level of the signals appearing at the outputs of the mixer's power amplifier.
HI-Z and LO-Z Input Connectors
The EMX-series mixers offer extra input compatibility and convenience with a choice of input connectors and configurations. All input channels offer a balanced LO-Z XLR-type connector, while the lower-numbered input channels also have balanced HI-Z tip-ring-sleeve 1/4" phone jacks.
Line Out L and R jacks
The Line Out jacks deliver the main program signal (L and R channels) at +4 dB (nominal) line level, taken from a point prior to the graphic equalizer.
Foot SW (DSP Mute) Jack
This jack accepts an optional Yamaha FC4 or FC5 footswitch, which can be used to turn the selected internal digital signal processor effect On and Off. This convenient foot-control capability leaves your hands free to perform other operations.
