Comments about Yamaha stagepas_600i:
I'm a vocalist who usually performs solo, playing background tracks from my Kindle Fire HD through the 600i mixer. I was disappointed that the built-in USB port on the 600i works only with Apple products. So I use an adapter cable to connect the Kindle Fire HD.
I previously owned a StagePas 500 but after a few weeks, decided to trade up to the 600i. Sound is more full and lush, which is hard to believe given that the speakers are only slightly larger than the 500 speakers.
The 600i is heavier and about $200 more in cost. It's a bit harder to transport, but worth the effort for the ease of use, the expanded equalizer capability, and the choice of 4 different kinds of reverb.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
