Comments about Yamaha cp50:
Overall, this stage piano is an admirable compromise to the CP5 in terms of portability and professional sound selection. I use this as my main gigging stage piano for its portability and its great piano and electric piano (Rhodes). I would like to see Yamaha add string resonance and unlock the strike position for the acoustic piano sounds in a future software update. Unlocking the strike position parameter for the acoustic piano sounds would give users greater customizable abilities for their sound on stage. I believe that these new CP series keyboards would really benefit from a software update like that from Yamaha to have them show they value and listen to their customers. I advise Yamaha to improve their CP series in that manner, rather than creating new CP's with added features. Yamaha should work with what they have.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
