Compact Drum Kit Delivers Real Drum Tone
"Why don't you make a real drum kit for students?" That request by Manu Katché caught the ears of our designers and soon had them busy designing this unique kit. For small players it is designed compact, but it is far from being a toy. The 16"" x 16"" 9-ply bass drum with a 6-ply 13"" x 12"" floor tom, 10"" x 7"" tom, and 12"" x 5"" snare are all made of quality Philippine mahogany using our original Air Seal System. These drums deliver solid tone that is unbelievably real.
Floating Bass Drum system
Yamaha's floating bass drum system utilizes a pipe post stabilizer that provides height adjustment on the pedal side of the bass drum to ensure that the beater makes contact with the center of the head.
Lacquer Finish
The Jr. Kit features a lacquer finish on Philippine Mahogany shells which offers a more open sound compared to covering finishes.
Hardware
The kit comes fully equipped with lightweight hardware that is durable and easy to use.
