12" x 5.5" Steel Shell
Steel shells have the brightest tone of our metal shell snare drums. The SD-2255's small diameter shell has a high pitch that pops but the 5.5" depth still has some body so the drum doesn't sound thin.
We applied our new metal shell manufacturing process to an all-new Steel shell to create a drum with a bright tone that really cuts thru.
