Comments about Yamaha fg730s:
I am a beginner in the guitar world and only know how to pay a few songs using the most basic chords but this guitar is amazing! I had a Fender guitar but exchanged it for the Yamaha FG730s and it was the best choice I've ever made. I can't put this guitar down, plus, the size is perfect. This is a great great great guitar for beginners. :)

Comments about Yamaha fg730s:
So this is my second guitar. I absolutely love it. I just began playing less than a year ago and this was really the perfect choice. It's a great guitar but also one that I can grow with. Beautiful looking, beautiful sounding.

Comments about Yamaha fg730s:
I have numerous acoustic guitars, including 50-year old Stellas and an Epiphone on to more modern instruments by Gretsch, Washburn, Alvarez and Breedlove. The Breedlove is currently my main guitar. I bought the Yamaha FG730S for one simple reason: I played it several times in the music store and could not believe the sound. At the price, the materials and finish were just beautiful and the sound was unbelievable. So, I found myself buying this inexpensive, China-made guitar. I found the action to be just a bit too high for my tastes, and so I decided to set it up and use it for slide playing. I love this guitar, still can't believe the quality vs. investment, and use it alongside my Breedlove as my main slide guitar.

Comments about Yamaha fg730s:
I was asked to put new strings, clean, and tune this guitar up for my neighbor. The strings were rusty and it needed a lot of cleaning. When I finished with it, I wanted to tell him that it was junk and should sell it to me. That would have been a lie, it sounded great with good resonance and sustain. I play Guild guitars mainly, and this one would fit in that circle.

Comments about Yamaha fg730s:
I have an older Epiphone acoustic from 1971 that developed a neck block problem. So, thought about getting something new to play with. After many hours of research about lower priced acoustics, there is an overwhelming positive response to the Yamaha FG series guitars. I originally purchased an FG700S, but after a few days wasn't sure that was what I really wanted. So I returned it. About 2 weeks later, since there was something about this guitar that I liked, I went back to the store to try it out again and then noticed the FG730S. It played very similar to the 700S but, the 730S sounded a little bit warmer and also the trim level is absolutely beautiful especially in natural. And I was able to land a great deal on it for only a little more $ than the 700S during a recent sale. For my needs. just a hobbyist playing mostly at home for fun, the FG730S delivers. Rich, warm sound, great projection and nicely set up out of the box. I could have spent alot more on a low end Martin or Taylor. But, didn't have to. Really don't have to spend alot to get alot.

Comments about Yamaha fg730s:
I was afraid I would become a sissy trying out & playing only the most expensive guitars (costing upwards in the $thousands) at the local guitar store. Expensive guitars tend to be easier to play-- generally, you don't have to press down on the strings as hard, so I wanted to try a great less expensive guitar that would give me more of a workout, but would still sound fantastic, and I found that with the fg730s. A list price of $499 is a lot of money, and it is perhaps unfortunate that Yamaha doesn't make its own hardshell case for the fg730s, but I guess people can buy other hardshell cases for it.

Comments about Yamaha fg730s:
This is my first and only guitar, so I don't have any expert commentary about it. I have had it less than a month. I selected the FG730s due to the reviews and that it is consistently rated in the top 5 beginner guitars rankings. I'm happy with it, so far. Looking forward to learning how to play it.

One of the Best Guitars I Own and I Have A Few, Mostly Electrics. I Find Myself Playing It Alot. Maybe If I Found It First I May Not Have Bought Some Of The Others.

Love the feel and sound of the guitar. I played a lot of guitars before I made my purchase. This guitar plays better than some of the more expensive guitars I've tried.
