Comments about Yamaha ac3m:
Everything and more that I wanted in a stage guitar. Absolutely no problems with anything on this guitar. The SRT system is exactly what I like: quick responsive, well-balanced, versatile and simple. The tuner is a very nice plus as is the anti-feedback system. And the sound sits in the mix just right. Even includes a "feedback buster" plug, which shows that the maker understands how the instrument is being used. Had my doubts about the 1 11/16 neck, but I quickly adjusted. Just as advertised the neck feels "played in" and the rounded edges are so nice. I may upgrade tuners and the bridge saddle and nut ... but that's probably unnecessary tweaking. And the case is more than adaquate for my needs, actually very nice.
Acoustically, not a large voice, but a sweet very well-balanced one.
I highly recommend the AC3m. Thank you so much, Yamaha. After chasing a good live sound for years and spending significant money on outboard gear, I'm down to one guitar and a cable ... and very happy with the results. Simplicity, versatility and good sound – that's a very unusual combination in my experience.
BTW, if experience means anything, I've been playing for 45 years, the last 25 or so almost exclusively acoustic gigs.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
