The Pacifica line ranges from simple, straightforward models to deluxe show-stoppers, but every Pacifica starts with quality solid-wood body, rugged hardware, and a sleek, sturdy neck with immaculate fretwork.
The double-cutaway Pacificas employ the super-versatile pickup configuration of a bridge humbucker and two single-coils, an arrangement that serves up classic single-coil snap and shimmer, but with a dose of double-coil muscle. Looking for one do-it-all electric? Investigate here.
The 604W raises the stakes with a Wilkinson® VS100 tremolo, Sprezel® Tremlok™ locking tuners, and a two-way tone pot that lets you split the bridge humbucker to two single-coils - it's like having four pickups.

Comments about Yamaha pac604w:
For the last 15 years i own a beautiful translucent blue PAC604W. The build quality is on par with the more expensive and illusive(?) PAC812w (only missing out on the Seymour Duncans pickups) but the overall setup is great. Quite fast action and a real joy to play. The Wilkinson VS100 floating tremolo and the Sperlzel locking tuners keep the guitar playable and in tune for long practice & recording sessions.
Overall the sound is quite ok for the used yamaha pickups, but misses some character and punch in the mid. Besides that, she picks up noise quite easy, so make sure to stay away from any computers (& screens) while recording DI. The Humbucker can sound raw, but the singlecoil split doesn't do the job as good as it should.
I'm thinking of converting the beauty to the 'real thing' the 812w, by swapping the pickups to de SD setup, to prolong its life in my music career. Thats not a flaw, i mean, it plays so well, it deserves the step up.. Its that good!
overall: 8- (yes, the sound is important)
