A gig ready classical acoustic-electric guitar.
- Solid Sitka spruce
- rosewood back/sides
- rosewood fingerboard and bridge
- A.R.T. 2way system
The NXC line of guitars inherits many of the characteristics of traditional classical guitars, such as fingerboard width, neck contour, body depth and 12th fret neck joint construction. But don’t let that fool you, they still offer the flexibility and playability that comes from modern features like slick cutaway bodies, low string action and state of the A.R.T. preamp systems. The NCX line is designed to provide nylon-string guitarists a versatile instrument that can cover a wide array of styles such Classical, Flamenco, Latin, Pop, and much more. With two choices of materials available for back and sides; Rosewood on the NCX200R/1200R, 900R and Flamed Maple on the NCX2000FM/900FM, guitarists can choose according to tastes and needs.

Comments about Yamaha ncx900r:
Bought this to replace the NTX-700 that replaced the Silent Classical. If you're looking for a serious classical guitar, avoid my mistakes and get one from the NCX series. It is built like a proper classical guitar and with the proper strings (D'Addario EJ45TT), is also a very fine Flamenco instrument - punchy and plenty of volume & tone.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
