In the PSR-E233, You will find 385 high-quality instrument voices and 100 accompaniment styles. It features a wide variety of voices, including preset digital effects. You will also find preset dual voices, like e.g. Piano plus Synth Pad, so you can easily enjoy beautiful rich sounds.
Portable Grand Button
Enjoy Yamaha's world-famous grand piano sound The Portable Grand button instantly recalls a great sounding piano "covering" the keyboard's full range.
Auto Power Off mode
This is a new, eco-friendly mode. The PSR-E333/233 comes with a function that turns off the power automatically if the keyboard has not been used for a set amount of time in order to avoid using power unnecessarily. This supports long battery life.

I bought this keyboard because I am just starting out and wanted something inexpensive. This little unit packs a big value for being a starting keyboard. It has so many different sounds that makes it so much fun to play.

We bought this keyboard so my kids as well as myself could learn an instrument. It doesnt take up space in the house at all. The keyboard has good volume but mediocre sounds.. we weren't exactly looking for Grammy winning sounds effects so its not too bad. Although it is a good priced keyboard, I would of given it 5 stars of perfection if the keys lit up during their lessons because their lessons are based on a tiny screen that tells you which key you're pressing. This screen is only a couple of inches big so its hard to tell which key is which. I plan to color code the key sections so I could learn which is which.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
