Single Voices (00-39)
Each voice provides the sound of a single instrument.

Dual Voices combine two seperate voices, so two instruments can be played at once.
Split Voices (80-99)
Split Voices combine two separate voices, with one voice being played on the left-hand side of the keyboard and the other being played on the right-hand side.
Harmony Mode
Harmony Mode automatically produces two or four-part harmony on any single note, depending on the voice.
Digital Sound Processing
The PSR-18 offers reverb and echo effects, with an effect volume control that allows the right amount of reverb or echo to be added or removed from the sound.

Choose from 22 different automatic rhythm patterns.
Automatic Accompaniment
The PSR-18 offers the choice between Single Finger or Fingered Auto Accompaniment. The Single Finger Mode offers orchestrated accompaniment using major, seventh, minor, and minor-seventh chords by pressing a minimum number of keys on the left-hand section of the keyboard, while playing the melody on the right. In the Fingered Mode, chords are fingered with the right hand and the PSR-18 automatically produces the appropriate accompaniment.
Song Accompaniment
The PSR-18 can play fully orchestrated rhythm, bass, and chord accompaniment for 15 well-known songs.
