Troubleshooting

(Table)
Problem
The instrument does not turn on.
Possible Cause and Solution
The instrument has not been plugged in properly. Securely insert the female plug into the jack on the instrument, and the male plug into a proper AC outlet (page 9).

Problem
The instrument is automatically turned off even if no operation is done.
Possible Cause and Solution
This is normal. This occurs due to the Auto Power Off function (page 9).

Problem
Noise is heard from the speakers or headphones.
Possible Cause and Solution
The noise may be due to interference caused by the use of a mobile phone in close proximity to this instrument. Turn off the mobile phone, or move it further away from this instrument.
When you use the instrument along with the application on your smart device, we recommend that you set “Airplane Mode” to “ON” on your smart device in order to avoid noise caused by communication.

Problem
The overall volume is low, or no sound is heard.
Possible Cause and Solution
The Master Volume is set too low. Set it to an appropriate level using the [VOLUME] slider (page 8).
Make sure a pair of headphones or conversion adaptor is not connected to the [PHONES] jack (page 8).

Problem
The pedal has no effect.
Possible Cause and Solution
The pedal cable/plug may not be properly connected. Turn off the power and make sure to securely insert the pedal plug into the [SUSTAIN] jack or [PEDAL UNIT] jack (page 9, 15).

Problem
The footswitch (for sustain) seems to produce the opposite effect. For example, pressing the footswitch cuts off the sound and releasing it sustains the sounds.
Possible Cause and Solution
The polarity of the footswitch is reversed because the footswitch was pressed when the power was turned on. Turn off the power and turn it on again to reset the function. Make sure to not press the footswitch when turning the power on.

Problem
When using a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) with an instrument, there is a loud noise or abnormal sound.
Possible Cause and Solution
Depending on the settings of the computer or the application software, a loud sound may occur. Set the Audio Loop Back function to off (page 11).
