Guitar Warranty Procedure

Last Update: 8/9/2011

Yamaha guitars have a limited lifetime warranty on the Top, Back, Sides and Neck; and 1 year on the electronics/wiring and hardware (tuners, bridge, nut, saddle pins etc.)

If you are experiencing what you suspect to be a defect in the guitar which cannot be resolved though a standard 'setup' (tune-up, strings replace, adjustment of intonation/tuning, neck/truss rod etc.) please take your guitar to the dealer where it was purchased for an inspection.  If the dealer finds it necessary, they will contact Yamaha. We will discuss all warranty repair or replacement options with your dealer on your behalf.
If it is determined that the guitar merely needs a setup, this is not covered by the terms of the warranty, and it is likely that there will be a small charge for these services.
