[Electric piano] What’s the difference of each type of keyboard?

Last Update: 5/31/2019

Please look at the below the difference of each type of keyboard.

GHS keyboard

The key weight (resistance) of the keyboard is graduated in several steps (Bass area = heavy <-> Treble area = light) and the physical weight of the component part has been reduced.

Because of this weight reduction we have achieved on overall weight reduction of main body of the instrument.

GH (Grade Hammer) keyboard

We endeavor to achieve the feeling of a real grand piano; changing the key weight (resistance) of the keyboard in gradual steps (Bass area = heavy <-> Treble area = light) and have thereby achieved a very natural piano feel.

GH3 (Grade Hammer 3) Keyboard

You can play the same key repeatedly and in rapid succession very much like a grand piano because we have added a third sensor (damper sensor) into the GH3 keyboard action assembly.

In addition to that, as with the GH keyboard, we change the key weight (resistance) of the keyboard in gradual steps (Bass area = heavy <-> Treble area = light)

GH3X (Grade Hammer 3 X) Keyboard

We have added “Escapement” into the GH3 keyboard. This allows you the ability to feel subtle response feedback much the same as in a real grand piano so that you can actuate the key with a very gentle touch.

NW(Natural Wood) Keyboard  *now not in the lineup

This white keys are made of solid natural wood as with the acoustic piano. We minimized vibration and contortion of the keys by making extensive use of woodworking technology. You can play it just like the grand piano.

In addition to that, as with the GH3 keyboard, we change the key weight (resistance) of the keyboard in gradual steps (Bass area = heavy <-> Treble area = light)

NWX(Natural Wood X) Keyboard

We have added “Escapement” into the NW keyboard. This allows you the ability to feel subtle response feedback much the same as in a real grand piano so that you can actuate the key with a very gentle touch.

Please pay special attention to the touch of the keyboard, your needs, desires and your feelings about the action with respect to its importance in your purchasing decision. We strongly recommend playing these instruments in the store.
