Studio Connections Recall Provides the Total Solution

Studio Connection
BUENA PARK, CA (November 12, 2004) — As studios have grown more powerful and complex, a seamless cross-platform total recall solution that will retrieve all your hardware and software settings has been elusive. With Studio Connections Recall – a new software solution and product of the Studio Connections initiative between Yamaha and Steinberg – your external gear can now easily integrate into your software world.

The first products to adopt Studio Connections Recall are Studio Manager V2 software from Yamaha, Cubase SX3 and a forthcoming version of Nuendo from Steinberg. With Studio Connections, you can control your hardware via graphic editing software from within your DAW application and save all the settings for your Steinberg software and Yamaha hardware together in one project file. With a single mouse click, Studio Connections technology recalls all settings, and lets you get your studio connected back up just the way it was the last time you worked on a particular project.

"The goal of the first phase of the Studio Connections initiative is total recall," states Athan Billias, director of Technology Products, Yamaha Corporation of America. "Studio Connections Recall is a huge step forward in the continuing effort to provide seamless integration between hardware and software for a faster and more intuitive workflow."

Studio Manager Version 2 (V2) functions as the host for a wide range of Recall compatible editing software for hardware products such as Yamaha's digital mixing consoles, Motif ES synthesizers, and SPX2000 effects processors.

Other DAW companies as well as hardware manufacturers are expected to support Studio Connections Recall in the near future. Third Parties interested in developing Studio Connections software, or end users looking for Recall-compatible editing applications can find all the information they need at www.studioconnections.org, a website dedicated to the Studio Connection initiative.
