Established in 1960 as Yamaha International Corporation, Yamaha Corporation of America (YCA) offers a large assortment of high-quality musical instruments and audio products to U.S. customers. YCA is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yamaha Corporation, Japan, and is one of the world’s largest global subsidiary companies.
YCA is organized into specialized groups. They are the Marketing group, the Sales group, the Finance and Sales Support Services group, the People Operations group and the Artist Relations group.
The Marketing group provides consumer and channel marketing for all Yamaha products in the U.S. and is comprised of product and brand marketing departments. The product marketing departments are Keyboard, Guitar, Winds and Strings, Percussion, Professional Audio and Consumer Audio. The brand marketing departments include Studio 60, the company’s award-winning in-house agency, as well as Brand, Digital, Retail and Vertical marketing departments.
The Sales group serves the YCA authorized dealer base. The sales departments are organized by channel and include a Consumer channel, School Service Dealer channel, Piano channel, Combo channel, Institutional channel and an Audio B2B channel.
The Finance and Sales Support Services group includes Finance, Operations, Inventory Management, Operations and Project Management departments. These departments provide and support the customer and dealer service YCA is known for.
The People Operations group supports YCA employees including recruitment, training and employee benefits.
The Artist Relations group supports Yamaha artists and educators and operates several facilities in the country: Yamaha Artist Services, Inc. (YASI) in New York City, Yamaha Entertainment Group (YEG) in Franklin, Tennessee, Yamaha Artist Services Indianapolis (YASIN) in Indianapolis, Indiana and the Los Angeles Atelier in Buena Park, California.
