Yamaha Artist Services Inc. to Host Beethoven Recital-Lecture Series

In this nine-part lecture recital series, 30 pianists will gather in celebration of a cornerstone of the piano repertoire: the 32 Beethoven Piano Sonatas. Each piece will be introduced with historical and musical commentary.


Lisa Yui
Hosted by Lisa Yui Pianist and lecturer Lisa Yui has garnered top prizes at various competitions, including the Senigallia International Piano Competition in Italy and the Super Classic International Auditions in Japan.Her recital performances, lectures and master classes have taken her throughout North America, Europe and Asia. She has been invited to perform as soloist with major orchestras such as the Tokyo Symphony, Polish National Radio, Krakow Philharmonic, and the Toronto Symphony. Her mentors have included Marc Silverman, David Dubal, Byron Janis, and Oxana Yablonskaya. A faculty member of the Manhattan School of Music, Marymount Manhattan College, and the Juilliard School Music Advancement Program, Ms. Yui is the producer and lecturer of “Lives of the Piano,” the first piano concert lecture series at the Manhattan School of Music. Additionally, she is a two-time recipient of the Canada Council Scholarship.
