BUENA PARK, CA (June 3, 2005) — Customers at 59 Guitar Center locations throughout the U.S. will be able to learn everything they need to know about getting the most from their home studios, thanks to a team of Yamaha and Steinberg product specialists who have teamed up for the “Complete Music Production Tour.”

The clinics, which began in May and run through July 2005, showcase the new Studio Connections Recall technology and its capabilities to provide seamless integration and total recall between hardware and software. The technology is part of the Studio Connections initiative, a strategic alliance forged to combine the strengths of Steinberg’s and Yamaha’s noted hardware and software to produce efficient systems for the music and media production markets.

“From Cubase LE to Nuendo, Steinberg is acknowledged as the world’s most advanced cross-platform DAW software,” states Athan Billias, director, Technology Products, Yamaha Music Production, “and Yamaha’s music hardware products, such as the Motif ES line, 01X, i88x and 01V96, are industry standards. These clinics show how all these tools work together to provide complete recording solutions, and also give attendees the chance to see first-hand what happens when two of the biggest names in music technology join forces.”

The informal sessions include practical “how-to” demonstrations on the production process, from making beats through tracking and mixing, right through final CD mastering. In some locations, specialists are also available prior to the event to answer questions and offer some one-on-one help.

"The clinics have been a tremendous success thus far,” said Tony Escueta, manager, Field Product Support, Yamaha Technology Products. “The response to this promotional tour has been the best that we have ever had at Guitar Centers. People are seeing the industry's hottest recording software, music production tools and synthesizer products working in complete integration, using Studio Connections. There have been some attendees that have driven over three hours.”

Greg Ondo, Steinberg marketing manager for Yamaha, notes that longtime Steinberg and Yamaha customers are intermingling and the attendance has been at an all time high, as has the enthusiasm from customers and store sales staff.

“The combination of Steinberg and Yamaha at these events makes for an entertaining, educational, and exciting time for us and our customers,” says Ondo. "This is the first seminar tour since Yamaha and Steinberg have become one company, and it is as exciting and fun for us as presenters as it is for the customers. The unique integration of hardware and software with Studio Connections sets a new paradigm for creating music."
