BUENA PARK, CA (October 14, 2005) — Yamaha Corporation of America, Piano Division, announces the launch of a new web site devoted to its innovative music and wellness program, the Clavinova Connection. The site, www.clavinovaconnection.com, features an overview of the program, as well as an interactive musical look at what participants can expect in these stress-busting, recreational music making (RMM) sessions.

Empowered by Yamaha's exclusive Guide Lamp technology available on the CVP series of Clavinova digital pianos, the program enables people to play the music they’ve always loved without the challenges of a sharp learning curve.

“Rather than emphasizing musical performance or mastery, this innovative program enables participants, regardless of prior musical experience, to creatively express themselves in a multifaceted music-making activity,” says Jim Levesque, Clavinova Marketing Manager. “This website is an excellent resource to showcase the benefits of recreational music making and to offer a preview of what participants experience in these fun-filled group sessions.”

The site also links to RMM-related press releases and research, and an informative, online discussion on the relationship between music and stress reduction with Yamaha Senior Vice President Terry Lewis, and the program’s creators, psychoneuroimmunologist Dr. Barry Bittman and Karl Bruhn, the long-recognized “father of the music making and wellness movement.”

Recent research has demonstrated that the Clavinova Connection reverses the DNA switches that literally turn on the human stress response, suggesting that this program deserves consideration as a healthy lifestyle stress-reduction strategy, along with exercise and nutrition.
