"This outstanding product demonstrates our commitment to providing superior instruments for all budget levels," states Jim Presley, Disklavier Marketing Manager, Yamaha Corporation of America, Piano Division. "Customers will receive the quality they expect from Yamaha at an attractive price."

The Disklavier DGC1B puts users in complete control of their musical experience. Users can enjoy more than 500 built-in songs, and then add favorites from the vast Yamaha PianoSoft™ library. Owners can also set the volume of both solo piano and ensemble music from rock star loud to whisper soft.

With a 64 megabyte music and data storage capability, the piano also boasts Yamaha's Advanced Wave Memory (AWM) tone generation technology, which provides instrument sounds of amazing realism and depth. The instrument also includes the revolutionary SmartKey™ software, which guides beginners through simple melodies while the instrument provides professional-sounding accompaniment. It does this by moving the correct keys slightly, cueing the user to strike them, and waiting until they do.

The piano additionally includes such accessories as a wireless remote control with batteries, a PianoSoft™ sample disk, CD software and owner's manuals.

Yamaha's continual innovation of this piano line has led to an industry first: the Disklavier has been honored for the sixth consecutive year with Musical Merchandise Review Magazine's "Dealer's Choice" Award as "Product of the Year."

The DGC1B is currently available via authorized Yamaha piano dealers nationwide.
