Time to Shine at Yamaha's Junior Original Concert Series

ANAHEIM, Calif. — The Yamaha Music Education Systems Division will host its Junior Original Concert (JOC) Series on Friday, January 18 and Saturday January 19, 2008 at Winter NAMM 2008. Held at noon each day at the Piano Stage in the Anaheim Marriott Hotel's Marquis Ballroom, all NAMM attendees are invited to enjoy these free performances, which feature three outstanding Yamaha Music School students, two of whom will perform original compositions.

Anna Han, age 11, a student at the East Valley Yamaha Music School in Chandler, Ariz., will perform "Imagination" for solo piano, her own original composition. Patrick McClure, age 16, a student at the Fredericksburg Yamaha Music School in Fredericksburg, Va., will perform his original work, "Revelation" on piano, with backing by Benjamin Brosche on a CVP-407 Clavinova, George Shelby on saxophone, P.J. Wyderka on bass and M.B.Gordy on drums. Megan Chang, age 6, a piano student at the Torrance Yamaha Music School in Torrance, Calif., will also perform.
