The 11-year-old pianist was born into a family of professional Ukranian musicians and started improvising on the piano by age two and taking lessons at age four. After winning first place in the National Final of Canadian Music Competitions in 2002, her parents brought her to New York to study with legendary pianist and Professor Oxana Yablonskaya, making Alice one of the youngest students ever accepted to the Juilliard School Pre-College Division.

At her young age, Alice has already performed successfully in major concert halls such as Zankel and Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall and Paul Hall and Morse Hall at Juilliard. She has performed as a soloist and with symphony and chamber orchestras.

In May 2006, Alice's professor, Oxana Yablonskaya, initiated her youngest student's first international concert in Monterrey, Mexico, where she performed solo pieces and a piano duet with her teacher. She also appeared in From the Top, Live from Carnegie Hall, where she was selected among the nation's top young musicians, and which was broadcasted on PBS in May 2007.

In December 2006, Alice, sponsored by Yamaha, was invited to perform in Paris, France at Ecole Normale de Musique where she received the honor of sharing the concert with the first prize winner of the 2005 Van Cliburn International Competition, Alexander Kobrin. Alice repeated her success in Monterrey, Mexico in 2007, where she, invited by Parnassos Foundation, performed two piano concertos in one evening: J.S. Bach Concerto in d minor and L.Van Beethoven Concerto No. 2 in B flat major with Chamber Orchestra Amadeus under the direction of Maestro Jesus Medina.

The recital will take place on the third floor Piano Salon at Yamaha Artist Services, Inc., which is located at 689 Fifth Avenue, New York City (entrance is at 54th Street). Tickets are $20 for the general public, $10 for students and seniors. For more information, please call (212) 339-9995 x0; or e-mail yasi@yamaha.com.
