Oxana Yablonskaya Featured At Yamaha Piano Salon

NEW YORK CITY — Renowned Pianist Oxana Yablonskaya will perform a duo recital with Joaquin Soriano at Yamaha's midtown Piano Salon on Friday, April 18 at 7:30 PM. The program will include two-piano works of Brahms, Rachmaninoff, Franck and Piazzolla.

Yamaha Artist Oxana Yablonskaya is an active soloist and chamber music performer, as well as a professor at The Juilliard School of Music in New York City. She is a prize winner of three international competitions, including the Marguerite Long-Jacques Thibaud Competition in Paris, the Rio de Janeiro Competition, and the Vienna Beethoven Competition. She has performed with more than 60 symphony orchestras, led by some of the top conductors of all time, and has appeared at such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Orchestra Hall in Chicago and Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.

Among Yablonskaya's numerous recordings, her Liszt/Schubert CD won the Grand Prix du Disque from the International Liszt Society in Budapest. She has served on the jury of many major international piano competitions, including the Leeds International Pianoforte Competition, International Liszt Piano Competition and the Prokofiev International Piano Competition. She has lectured numerous master classes at many distinguished music schools, academies, conservatories and festivals throughout the world, such as Newport and Bowdin in the United States, Flaine and Tours in France, Lago Maggiore in Switzerland and Oxford Philomusica in England. She is also a co-founder of the Puigcerda Musica Clasica International Festival in Spain.

A well-known pianist and piano teacher, Joaquin Soriano has performed in the US, Japan, the former Soviet Union, Australia and Israel. He has performed on the BBC and for the leading radio and TV stations throughout Europe and the United States.

The recital will take place on the 3rd floor Piano Salon at Yamaha Artist Services, Inc., which is located at 689 Fifth Avenue, New York City (entrance is at 54th Street).
