The Hub of All Things Yamaha Adds Podcasts For Pro Audio & Combo and Piano Products

BUENA PARK, Calif. — The Yamaha Corporation of America's multimedia portal, The Hub, has added free podcasts highlighting new products from departments within the company's Pro Audio & Combo Division, which offers almost every type of gear that most bands require to perform a concert or complete a recording, and the Piano Division.

The Hub
Aggregating downloadable streaming video and audio, along with brochures and reference documents in PDF format, The Hub (www.yamahahub.com) enables dealers and consumers to easily access product information in a variety of convenient formats and share content through social bookmarking sites, including Digg, Reddit, Furl and Technorati.

The new podcasts, which join the extensive and successful menu of shows that detail the company's Band & Orchestral Division products and artists, cover Live Sound, Drums and Percussion and Guitars and Basses. The Keyboards and Pianos podcast, which already contains content featuring the Clavinova, will include portable keyboards and digital pianos from the Pro Audio & Combo and Piano divisions. New podcasts will be added at least once a month.

"From the start, we wanted to make The Hub a destination for our end-users and dealers—something for everyone," said Jeff Hawley, Manager of Marketing Content, Yamaha Pro Audio & Combo Division. "With the recent moves to bring dealer training and consumer-focused podcasts into The Hub, we are on our way to meeting that goal. We're seeing a lot of activity on the site, which affirms that it is a valuable resource and easy way to access fresh, exciting content."

Subscribing to the free podcasts is easy: just click the PODCAST icon on relevant video episodes or visit the iTunes Store. The episodes can be transferred to a range of devices, including an iPod, AppleTV, iPhone or other mp3 and video players.

The Hub also aggregates Yamaha's entire podcast-based Yamaha Certified Sales Professional dealer training program for the Band & Orchestral and Pro Audio & Combo divisions. The new Pro Audio & Combo training program, Pro Audio & Combo Education, or PAC-E, provides free online video training modules and certification for the PAC retail network.

Other downloadable video and audio programs on The Hub include product overviews, factory tours, performances, educational clinics and backstage interviews with prominent Yamaha Artists. The site also includes a section dedicated to Yamaha Electronics Corp, which distributes quality home audio and video products.

The Hub employs a sophisticated program that uses an advanced, anonymous personalization design and coding system to "learn" how visitors interact with the site and subsequently determine what content might interest them, thus enhancing the online user experience.
