Oxana Yablonskaya's 70th Birthday Jubilee Celebration at Carnegie Hall

NEW YORK CITY — World-renowned pianist Oxana Yablonskaya will celebrate her 70th birthday with a performance at Carnegie's Zankel Hall on Thursday, December 11 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will feature the Manhattan Symfonia Chamber Players under the direction of Grammy-award nominated conductor and cellist Dmitry Yablonsky and trumpet soloist David Golukh. Program selections will include piano concertos by Shotakovich, Chopin and Beethoven.

Prize winner of numerous international competitions, including the Marguerite Long-Jacques Thibaud Competition in Paris, the Rio de Janeiro Competition, and the Vienna Beethoven Competition, legendary pianist Oxana Yablonskaya has performed with more than 60 symphony orchestras, led by the world's leading conductors, and has appeared at such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Orchestra Hall in Chicago and Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.

Among her numerous recordings, Ms. Yablonskaya's Liszt/Schubert CD won the Grand Prix du Disque from the International Liszt Society in Budapest. In recent years, Ms. Yablonskaya has collaborated with her son, renowned cellist/conductor, Dmitry Yablonsky. Their concerts have enjoyed vast public and critical acclaim. In addition to her success as a concert pianist and recording artist, Ms. Yablonskaya is a widely respected educator. Her popular masterclasses have been presented at academies, conservatories and festivals throughout the world including at Newport and Bowdin in the USA, Flaine and Tours in France and Oxford Philomusica in England. She is also the co-founder of Puigcerda Musica Clasica International Festival in Spain.
