Red Piano Show Ends Triumphant Run at Caesars Palace

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Over the course of the last five years, Yamaha artist Elton John has performed his popular and critically acclaimed The Red Piano show 239 times at Caesars Palace to sold out crowds, and it was no less show-stopping or dramatic of an event on the night it came to an end.

Originally only booked for 75 shows over three years, the resort accelerated the number of shows presented each year due to overwhelming demand, completing the original commitment in only 18 months and extending the agreement for an additional 166 shows. Elton closed out his spectacular run in America's playground and graced the stage at The Colosseum for the last time on Wednesday, April 22.

The show will still go on however – just not as a live Vegas showcase. Elton will take the Red Piano show on the road for a few dates in Europe this October: 13 – Antwerp, Belgium, 15 – Dusseldorf, Germany, 23 – Sheffield, England, and 24 – Newcastle, England. Hailed as gregarious, outlandish, unforgettable, and utterly-Elton, The Red Piano has also been immortalized forever through a 2 DVD/2 CD set available for sale through Best Buy and Universal.

The show also became the inspiration for the Elton John Signature Series Red Piano, a limited edition series of Disklavier performance reproducing pianos by Yamaha.
