Yamaha Presents Live Telecast of Day of Jazz Violin
Los Angeles, Calif. Yamaha recently presented its first-ever live concert broadcast featuring five renowned jazz violinists. The highly successful April 19 event featured Yamaha Artists Christian Howes, Mads Tolling, Charlie Bisharat, Lisa Haley and special guest Antonio Pontarelli backed by an all-star rhythm section led by Russ Miller on drums.
These renowned artists showcased original works using acoustic and electric violins and the concert culminated with all artists playing on stage together for a very special finale. For Jeff Hawley, Yamaha's Manager of Marketing Content and veteran video producer, the NewTek TriCaster portable live production system has significantly streamlined the normal two-to-eight day process of shooting, importing, editing and rendering footage for viewing on the Internet.
"NewTek TriCaster definitely represents a paradigm shift," he explains. "It can produce and deliver video content over the Internet instantly, and that has totally changed everything. We're looking to repeat this type of live streaming event much more often in the future."
